So, I apparently can't use a calendar. I know I know, I said it would be 4 days on the road but it was in-fact 3 days. But hey I was tired and burnt out. So I apologise.
Last time I left you we were on our way to the 3rd and final gig of the night. After packing down from the awards ceremony and grabbing all the beer left in the fridge we headed to the next venue. It was a pretty insane place, with the steepest stairs I've ever seen in a bar/club. If the stairs were in the uk at least 10 people would have died from binge drinking stairs related accidents.
By this gig I was running on empty, totally burnt out from having had only 8 hours of sleep over the last two nights and frantically running about but hey, nobody ever said it would be easy.
The guys played a blinder of a gig and the place was jumping. After they finished I grabbed a few portraits against the hot pink wall before we left for our boat hotel.
To be honest this is pretty much where the story ends as we chilled for a little bit and then had another short 4 hour sleep before we had to head back on another 16 hour drive and due to timescales we barely stopped.
Whilst I was shooting I was worried that the pictures were inconsistent visually and sporadic. However it's only after thinking about the entire trip that I realise that's exactly what it was, a sporadic trip. All of the action was jammed into a brief 20 hour window across 2 countries, 3 venues and 3 stages. I imagine the next trip will have a more consistent visual story. Until then, Peace.
